Detailed history of the German and Scandinavian invasion of the Baltic area in the 13th Century that led to the foundation of the Teutonic Knights and the Hanseatic League. Copy is in very good condition. Minimal wear to the dark blue cloth boards. Interior is clean and unmarked. Front free end paper has a small clipping, presumably removing a name. Binding solid and tight. Dust jacket is fair. Chipping and wears to the edges. Small portion of loss to the base of the spine. Jacket now wrapped in protective Brodart cover. A handsome copy of a scarce and important text.
