First printing of the 1999 Sandpiper edition of Mayer's 1933 survey of heraldry for Muslim rulers in Syria, Palestine, and Egypt from the Crusades to the Ottoman conquest. Copy is in very good+ condition, perhaps verging on near fine. Minimal wear to the black cloth boards. Interior is clean and unmarked save for former owner's bookplate on front free end paper. Binding solid and tight. Dust jacket is very good also. Minimal edge wear. Now wrapped in protective Brodart jacket cover.
