Complete five volume set of Napier's history of the Peninsular War during the Napoleonic Wars. American edition. Set is in fair to good condition. Considerable wear to the brown cloth boards of all volumes, Some minor damage and loss to the tops of the spines of Volumes I, II, IV, and V; more considerable damage and loss to the top of the spine of Volume III. Interiors are uniformly clean and unmarked. Bindings are solid and tight for Volumes II, IV, and V. Hinges visible in places in Volumes I and III. Frontis of Volume I and title page of Volume III are beginning to come a bit loose, but are still attached.
