Two volume set of Fredrik Barth's anthropological essays. Volume I, written from 1955-1972, covers an array of topics from general social organization to nomadic groups in the Middle East. Volume II concentrates on the Pathans of the Swat Valley along the Afghan-Pakistan frontier. Both volumes are in fine condition in near fine dust jackets. Jackets now wrapped in protective Brodart covers. Interiors are unmarked, clean, and very well-bound. A very nice copy of a scarce set.
