This volume covers the region between the cities of Durham and West Hartlepool, known for its coal-mining activities, and corresponds with Sheet 27 of the One-Inch Geological Map of England and Wales. Copy is in very good condition, verging on near fine. Minimal wear to the orange cloth boards. Interior is clean and unmarked, save for former owner's name on front free endpaper. Several fold out plates, all securely attached and in excellent condition. Dust jacket is good+. Intact and unclipped, but some general wear, creasing, and chipping around the edges. Tear of approx. 1.5 cm to jacket at base of spine. Now wrapped in protective Brodart cover.
