First printing of the first U.S. edition of Koestler's sweeping intellectual history of Western cosmology. Copy is in very good condition. Absolutely minimal wear to the black cloth boards. Interior is clean and unmarked with a solid, square binding. Dust jacket is good with some general edge wear. Chipping and tearing to the top and base of the spine. Bottom of front flap appears clipped, but price on the top of the flap is unclipped. Jacket now wrapped in protective plastic cover. In all, a handsome copy of celebrated work.
