"A collection of compositions which have made jazz history along with the jazz greats - COUNT BASIE - BOB CROSBY - BENNY GOODMAN - LIONEL HAMPTON - BUCK CLAYTON - LESTER YOUNG who composed and recorded these works. Playable by All Combos including Tenor Bands, Dixieland Bands and other Jazz Groups, with Rhythm Optional. Arranged by Ben Kendall for Solo, Duet (2-way) and Trio (3-way)." B♭ book (trumpet, clarinet, tenor sax, baritone). One of a presumed set of 3 (books were also published for C and E♭ instruments such that these tunes could be played by duos and trios). Includes music for such jazz classics as "Big Noise From Winnetka", "Basie Boogie", "March Of The Bobcats" and more. Copy of this rare collection is in good condition. Some general wear to the cover including creasing to the staple-bound spine. Interior is clean and unmarked save for small pen marking (presumably initials) to table of contents.
