Family history of the Proudfoots who left Scotland in the mid-19th Century to settle at Fort Coulonge in the Ottawa Valley, about 100 km upriver from Bytown (now Ottawa). Undated publication, although the final page refers to the author's death in 2004. Copy is in near fine condition, appearing virtually as new. No discernible wear to the pictorial card wraps. Interior is clean and unmarked with a tight, solid binding. A handsome copy of an extremely scarce local history text.
