Handsome first edition of the study of 19th Century New England literature by the celebrated American literary critic Brooks. Copy is in very good condition. Minimal wear to the blue and beige cloth boards. Slight bumping to the corners. Interior is clean and unmarked with a solid, tight binding. Untrimmed pages. Dust jacket is good-. Unclipped flaps, but some general wear to the edges. Small portions of loss at the corners and more so at the top of the spine. Else a handsome copy of a scarce and desirable first edition of this important text.
