Canadian printing of the first Book-of-the-Month club edition of Salinger's celebrated novel with the original dust jacket. Rear of the jacket features the iconic Lotte Jacobi photograph of Salinger that the reclusive author insisted be removed from subsequent printings. Copy is in very good+ condition, verging on near fine. Absolutely minimal wear to the black cloth boards. Interior is clean and unmarked with a solid, tight binding. Dust jacket is good. Some wear to the edges and the folds. A few tiny points of loss at the corners and the top of the spine. Now wrapped in protective Brodart cover. A handsome copy of a rare and highly prized book.
