First U.S. edition of Bulgakov's classic satirical novel. Features the classic jacket design by Mercer Mayer. Copy is in good condition. Edge wear to the black cloth boards; bottom edges of the boards are frayed. Binding still solid, though the hinges are visible at the title page. Copy is ex library, but the only markings are a stamp on the copyright page and the remnants of a catalogue sticker on the rear free end paper. Else, interior is clean and unmarked. Dust jacket is good+ with only some minor edge wear. Price clipping to front flap. In all, a decent copy of a scarce and highly prized first edition.
