First edition of Davies' celebrated novel. Second state dust jacket (as indicated by "Book-of-the-Month Club Selection" on front flap) with unclipped $6.95 price. Copy is in very good+ condition, verging on near fine. Absolutely minimal wear to the tan cloth boards. Interior is clean and unmarked save for former owners' names neatly inked on front free end paper. Binding is solid and tight. Dust jacket is in good+ condition. Some minor wear and creasing to the edges. Tiny touches of loss to the top corners, but else in very good shape. Now wrapped in protective Brodart jacket cover.
