Second printing of the first Canadian edition of Carr's collection of short story sketches drawn from her time amongst the First Nations of the British Columbian coast. Copy is in very good condition. Minimal wear to the decorated brown cloth boards. Gift inscription (dated 1945) and Christmas-themed sticker to front free end paper. Else interior is clean and unmarked. Binding is solid and tight. Dust jacket is fair to good. Scuffing and wear to the edges and corners. Small portion of loss to the top of the spine. Now wrapped in protective plastic jacket protector. A handsome copy of a much celebrated Canadian classic.
