Extremely scarce first edition of the first book by the celebrated Canadian poet Al Purdy. Around 500 copies were printed, the majority of which were supposedly destroyed by the publisher for non-payment. This copy is in very good condition. Minimal wear to limp card covers. Some wear and creasing to the yapped edges. Blue ink mark to the initial "E" of "Enchanted" on cover. Interior is very good indeed. Clean and unmarked with a solid, tight binding. A very well-preserved copy of an exceptionally rare and important work.
