Anonymously written (A.L.O.C. stands for A Lady Of Canada) propagandistic account of an assault against the temperance advocate W.W. Smith. Copy is in very good condition. Some edge-wear to the maroon cloth boards. Slight bumping to the corners. Gilt text on the cover and spine is still bright, though some gilt has rubbed of from the "t" in "Plot". Interior is bright, clean, and tightly bound with plate illustrations. Some small tears to the edges of pages.
