First edition of Butler's account of the year he spent in 1920-1921 with the Inuit at Port Burwell (since named Killiniq, Nunavut), the first detachment set up by the RCMP in the eastern Arctic. Copy is in very good condition. Absolutely minimal wear to the cream cloth boards. Interior is clean and unmarked with a tight, solid binding. Unclipped dust jacket is good to very good. A little bit of wear to the edges and some chipping and tearing, primarily to the top front edge. Now wrapped in protective Brodart jacket protector.
