Handsome Mika reprint of the text from the Illustrated Historical Atlas of the County of Carleton, originally published by H. Belden & Co. of Toronto in 1879. Except for the maps of the City of Ottawa and the County of Carleton as a whole, this book does not include the maps and lithographs featured in the main Illustrated Historical Atlas. Nonetheless, a wealth of historical information is included within. Copy is in very good condition. Minimal wear to the red cloth boards. Book appears to be ex-library: "Nepean Public Library" stamp on title page along with inked notation, date stamp and blank sticker at rear, and some marks to the lower spine and rear board where a couple of stickers have been neatly removed. Inked black line to top page edge. Else, copy is clean and unmarked (especially for an ostensible former library book!). Binding is solid and tight. A very nice copy of an important historical text. (Note: we do have also a copy of the 1971 reprint of the full Illustrated Historical Atlas of the County of Carleton in stock at our physical store in Merrickville, Ontario).
