Handsome antique compilation of English poetry from the medieval Middle English period to the moderns of the early 20th Century. Copy is in very good condition. Some minor wear to the dark burgundy cloth boards, somewhat pronounced to the top corners and the head and base of the spine. Gilt decoration and text on cover and spine still bright. Interior is clean and unmarked with a solid, square binding. Some unusually untrimmed page edges in the middle of the book, presumably from being opened by the original owner (the very last pages are still joined). Lacking dust jacket, but still a charmingly well preserved copy.
