Hardcover (fair)
Curious antique volume of Robert Burns' celebrated collection of Poems, Chiefly in the Scottish Dialect. Volume 1 only of a two volume set. Published in the Dublin in 1803, this book is presumably part of an unauthorized printing of the two volume Second Edinburgh Edition (the table of contents includes the poem "Tam o' Shanter" as part of the second, non-present volume). Copy is in fair condition. Much wear to the boards. Interior is generally clean and unmarked save for former owner's name inked on front end papers and title page. Binding is splayed but secure with all pages nicely attached. A handsome little exemplar of an exceptionally scarce edition of this much loved text.
