Reprint of Baring's anthology of "selections from a life-time's reading in prose and verse -- mainly in English but with originals and translations from Greek, Latin, French, German, Spanish, Russian". Copy is in very good condition. Minimal wear to the green cloth boards. Dust jacket is good with some edge wear. Little chips and tears to the edges with small portions of loss to the head and base of the spine. Price clipping to front flap. This copy is from the library of the Canadian poet and lawyer Arthur Bourinot with his signature on the front free end paper, dated 1957, and inked marginal notations throughout by him.
