Antique travelogue of the author's journey across Canada to the American (then) territory of Alaska, with the lion's share of the book devoted to the Jesuit priest's time in Alaska. Copy is in good condition. Wear to the green cloth boards. Gilt text on cover is faded, more so on the spine. Interior is clean and unmarked save for gift inscription on front free end paper. Hinges visible at front and rear, but the binding is still intact and secure. Fold-out map at front in good shape. A few tears to the edges of the untrimmed pages, presumably from when they were opened. In all, a nice copy of a very scarce text.
