Handsome Navarre Society edition of Apuleius' classic comic novel. Translated by William Adlington with an introduction by editor F.J. Harvey Darton. Includes six black and white plate illustrations by Philip Hargreen with "numerous Decorations as occasion serves." Copy is in very good condition. Absolutely minimal wear to the blue cloth boards. Gilt decorations and text still bright. Interior is clean and unmarked with a solid, tight binding. Untrimmed pages. Dust jacket is very good also. No price clipping and minimal edge wear.
